I listened to an interview with Scarlett O’Kelly on radio recently. An interesting Irish lady with an entrepreneurial streak, not unlike Dawn Annadale in Call Me Elizabeth. She has written a book about her life as an escort in Ireland.
I have yet to read the book but it has been described as a “dirty book” apparently as it contains very graphic and somewhat salacious details. Sex sells. I have been quite coy and reserved about what went on with my clients. Perhaps I need to review my modest approach and call the book “Between the Cheeks” instead. Read into that what you will.
She is honest about what she charged and the safety procedures she engaged in. She does not reveal any personal details of her clients. She charged 400 euro for an initial visit and then 300 euro for subsequent visits. It sounds a lot for not very much, however, this type of work is HARD! It is not an easy option. She talks honestly about the stress of having a double life, the lies, the constant second guessing and a bout of depression.
According to Scarlett, she wants to remain anonymous, she still sees clients on an intermittent basis. However, although she has a written a book and has featured on radio, she still wants to remain anonymous but has no shame or guilt about her lifestyle choices. I say, Go Scarlett!!!!!!
